From the owners of Chica

Thought we would drop you a line and include some recent pics of Chica. These were taken on Saturday after her first bath!! She is a great dog and very smart. We have had virtually no issues training her. We took her to 3 puppy classes where she was the star of the class; she had most of the things down pat.

She loves the kids and she loves it outside!! I have been working in the field the odd day over the last couple of weeks, and have taken Chica with me. She travels very well in the truck and loves it outside. She sits at the door now whenever we are going somewhere. Or if we are outside she will sit at the door of my truck!!

We have had so many compliments on how good she looks and how well she behaves.

She is a great dog, we love her!!

From Abby the dog

Well it’s been 1 year since you and my real mummy brought me and my brothers and sisters into the world. Since then I was adopted by a very nice Mummy and Daddy and moved to Winnipeg. I knew from that point that I was brought up well as all my new parents could talk about was how nice of puppy I was during our car ride to Winnipeg. Since then, lots has happened in our lives and all throughout it I have met lots of new people and they have all commented on what a beautiful dog I am. My parents always comment on how pleased they are with me and what a great breeder Pat is. Well back to what has happened over the last year. Not long after I moved to Winnipeg, my Dad was offered and accepted a job in the Cayman Islands (that’s in the Caribbean for my brothers and sisters who haven’t taken geography). My Daddy told me it would be a cool place and I had reservations about it during my flight from Calgary to Miami then on to Grand Cayman. But, I have to tell you, I absolutely love the place as I get to go swimming and play fetch in the ocean every day. My Dad keeps commenting on how I am costing him lots of money by chewing all of my toys, I guess that is a good thing because I have been very healthy and not required any veterinarian care. My Mummy and Daddy say they would highly recommend you to anyone even remotely interested in a new puppy. Again, I just wanted to thank you for doing a great job in bringing me into the world and wish all my brothers and sisters a happy 1st birthday.

From the owners of Kiah

For someone I have not yet had the opportunity to meet personally, I can not say enough good things about Pat Clausen. Our family purchased a puppy from her several months ago. Pat was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She answered all of our questions, allowed a family member to come and visit the puppy because we were not able to and then lent us a kennel to transport Kiah to our home. She followed through on all of her promises and went way beyond our expectations. Pat has continued to answer questions for us in the months we've had Kiah. Pat is very professional and friendly.

We are so pleased with our dog. She is very gentle, smart and loving. She is wonderful with our children and has been very easy to train. Kiah is a perfect family dog! She has adapted easily to our home and is very much loved! Another bonus to Kiah is that she hardly sheds. I am very allergic to most dogs and have not had any trouble with her dander, even in the winter months.

We have and will continue to highly recommend Pat Clausen and her beautiful dogs to anyone considering a puppy in the future.

From the owners of HooDoo

I would highly recommend Pat Clausen at "Doodle Dogs" as a breeder.

We got a Labradoodle from Pat this past September 2005. I found out about Pat’s dogs through her website and asked that she contact me when her next litter was born. After several visits to Pat’s home, we decided on a chocolate male. Pat was very accommodating and willing to answer any questions I had as a novice dog owner. I appreciated her calm approach and genuine caring for the dogs.

Pat has her kennel set up in her home and the dogs are a part of the family’s everyday life. I appreciated that the dogs had been exposed to and handled by Pat’s children as part of their socialization especially as I have a young son myself. Pat made the transition to our home easier by starting to paper and crate train "HooDoo" in her home.

HooDoo is brilliant! Perhaps I am a bit biased though. He was very easy to house train and is eager to please. He has a sweet temperament and prefers to be at (or on) your feet most of the time. Thus far he seems to be essentially non shedding, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

From the owners of Jarvis

My husband and I have been looking for the perfect dog to welcome into our home for the past year. After investigating several breeds, we decided to explore a goldendoodle or labradoodle. We knew we wanted a larger breed dog, with a good personality and hopefully one that would shed a little less then a standard golden or lab. During our hunt we found Pat Clausen of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. We live approximately 2 ½ hours away in Regina, SK.

At the time that we started talking with Pat she had a new litter of 4 week old labradoodles, so we went to check them out. What we found was a breeder who took this task very seriously and approached the adoption process with love and concern for the animal she was giving up. She raises the pups in a home environment so they are well socialized and used to household noises, smells, and who have lots of attention and care.

Some of the things I have found exceptional about Pat is the extra effort she puts into her pups. She was great at communication right from the start of the looking process. She answered all the questions we had. She was great at providing updates and pictures for the next four weeks until we picked up Jarvis.

When we picked up Jarvis, I was so pleasantly surprised at the extras that Pat had taken into account. She provided us with some of the same premium dog food he was raised on, the high quality treats greenies, and a blanket of all the home and dog smells to comfort him. I was not able to bring the XL crate we had for Jarvis, so she lent me a smaller one to make the trip home much easier. The other wonderful surprises were she had started the crate training process by separating the pups from their mom at night in separate crates, and paper training the pups. I can not tell you how easy this made our lives. Our first night was easy to put him to bed in his crate, no crying or whining and he was practically house trained within the next two –three weeks.

Pat continues to stay in touch and is interested in Jarvis. Last weekend we were back in Saskatoon and Pat watched Jarvis for us. Once again, she was about the extras. She knew we are working with Jarvis in obedience and she worked with him on the weekend to learn the down command. He came home tired from hard play, and extra attention, what more could you ask for?

In closing, we were looking for a quality breeder, and could not have been more pleased then with Pat. She is about the extras and what’s best for the dogs. I would be pleased to use my name as a reference for her.

From the owner of Chloe

I would like to share some information regarding my experience with Pat at Doodledogs
Breeders.

In September of this year I purchased a labradoodle from Pat Clausen. I live in Vancouver, B.C and was not able to actually see my puppy before I purchased her but Pat made things for me very easy. Pat sent me pictures of "Chloe" every week and kept me informed via email as to how she was doing.

I found out about doodledogs breeders on the internet when I did a search, I was originally looking into a goldendoodle but was pleasantly surprised to find there were labradoodles as well. I have owned 2 labs in the past and I am very fond of that breed, except for their shedding so labradoodles seemed to be the next best choice.

Pat flew Chloe out to me from Saskatoon and she arrived safe and sound. All of the important documents were with her as well as some food that she had been eating since she was old enough. It was very clear that she had been well looked after before arriving at her new home, Chloe had no problems adjusting to her new environment. Pat and I spoke on the phone and each time she was very pleasant and kept me well informed of all the information I needed to make Chloe’s transition easier on her. Chloe was also paper trained upon arriving and this made a huge difference in the short amount of time it took to house train her.

The whole experience for me was a very positive one and I have already given many people Pat’s website and phone number. I would recommend Doodledogs Breeders without any hesitation.

From the owners of Oakley

I am the proud owner of one of Patricia's most recent litter of Labradoodles. Our puppy is Oakley! We purchased Oakley when he was 5 months old. Patricia delivered him to us because she was making a trip into Saskatoon that day. She came and spent most of the morning with us and helped us get aquainted! I couldn't believe Oakley's mild temperment, he was calm, gentle, and listened to the commands Patricia had already taught him! Patricia had a hard time leaving that morning, it was obvious how much she loves her dogs. Oakley continues to be the perfect family pet! He adjusted well to the city lifesyle and has been a great excercise partner. He learns very quickly and is admired for his looks and gentleness by all who meet him!
